About Jennifer Wayland & Good Medicine Massage

Regular massage therapy combined with self-care can make life much more comfortable and enjoyable.  I enjoy helping people discover realistic and practical ways to maximize the benefits of massage, and to help manage chronic pain from injuries and everyday life in between massage sessions.

I have been practicing massage therapy since 1999. I earned my credentials from Center of Advanced Therapeutics (CAT) in Denver, and through the years have additionally acquired more than 1000 hours of continuing education including Advanced Neuromuscular Technique, performance (sports) massage, myofascial release, SMRT, reflexology and more. Additionally, I enjoyed an extended opportunity to apply my skills in a teaching role at CAT.

State Qualifications

On November 17, 2008, the Rules and Regulation Hearing was completed at the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).

All massage therapists must be licensed by the State of Colorado as of April 1, 2009 in order to continue practicing. In order to qualify for state licensing, applicants will have to be fingerprinted, and have background checks completed. Licenses must be renewed every 2 years.

To meet the requirements to be licensed in the State of Colorado to practice Massage Therapy means that each therapist must have all met education requirements and passed a background check.

Please make sure when receiving bodywork that your practitioner is licensed in the State of Colorado to practice Massage Therapy.
